Man it's been a crazy week. As of yesterday, I hadn't had a chance to check out the bands who had started following me, and so I wasn't sure who was going to be my band of the week. Last night, I had some time and darned if I didn't hear tons of great new (to me at least) music. You never know, but I think I have the next two weeks covered.
Brotherhowe describe themselves as Country-Punk. They are from Michigan. Now, I am from Nashville and Dolly Parton looked after my future wife on the steps of the Grand Ole Opry (true story), so I think that qualifies me to say that I know Country, and I've seen the first Decline of Western Civilization film and own music by Circle Jerks, X, Ramones, Sex Pistols and Frank Sinatra, so I'm pretty sure that qualifes me to say that I know Punk. So, if I were to say that Brother Howe are the real deal, you'd pretty much have to listen to me, right?
Well, Brother Howe are the real deal. I'm not sure if independent of their own description I would have come up with Country Punk, but it'll do. I would likely call it good music. Great songs, well played and well check out some of their stuff:
