Check this out. My friend, Micah Vauteau, took our song Hard To Find and added some piano to it. It really complements the song and gives a whole new feel, or dimension to it. Thought you might like to hear it. Also, check out Micah’s website. He’s an extremely gifted songwriter and singer. Also, if you have any comments about the song, feel free to post them here.

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that the new EP is now officially released on our website and also on iTunes. It will be available at your favorite music buy site soon (Amazon, eMusic, etc.) but some companies take longer than others to get set up. Here is an advertisement I wrote up and put on our website.
Heaven Is My Retirement Plan EP NOW AVAILABLE!
This EP not only includes the title song, you also get Hard To Find, a story about a man’s search for meaning in the face of a dead end job and looming unemployment. But that’s not all; this song collection also features the country-punk version of the Weezer hit Undone (The Sweater Song) as only Brother Howe knows how to do it. That in itself would be enough to satisfy the most musical of connoisseurs. However, as a bonus, you also get Wish List 2009, a slower, moodier take on the upbeat song from Brother Howe’s debut album.
You could pay upwards of $3.96 on iTunes for this masterpiece. However, if you act today and cut out the middle man, you can have ALL FOUR songs; yes the complete collection, for the ultra-low price of just $2.99!! Click on the button below to begin your purchase and upon check out make sure you hit the button “Continue To Howe Records” and you will be directed to the single immediately where you can download it instantly!
So don’t delay, buy Heaven Is My Retirement Plan today!
I know you’ve all been waiting to find out who the big winner was for our Publishing Company naming contest. Well, after submitting the top names to BMI, getting approval from them and coming up with a decent prize (I didn’t want to give any junk prizes) I am now ready to congratulate Dan Bennett, who submitted the name Holy Howes of Rock Publishing (among a number of other creative and fun ideas). Jeri and I liked that one best out of all the name ideas. Thanks to everyone who submitted ideas, it was a lot of fun and I was thrilled at how many of you responded and the quality of the submissions, it was great. So anyway, here is the prize that Dan has won:
- A limited physical edition of the “Heaven Is My Retirement Plan” maxi-single, which includes these four songs: 1. Heaven Is My Retirement Plan 2. Hard To Find 3. Weezer’s Undone (The Sweater Song) and 4. Wish List 2009. I’ve only paid for a license to sell the Weezer song digitally, so I cannot sell any cd’s with it on there. Therefore, I’ve made two thus far. One for Dan and one that I sent in to CD Baby so they can do their digital distribution magic thing.
- One Heaven Is My Retirement Plan T-Shirt (as seen on the cover art for the aforementioned maxi-single). See the picture below. I had 25 of these t-shirts made up and if you want one and would like to support the band, they can be had for $10 each. Right now they are available in M, L and XL. A store page on the site will be set up soon, otherwise, just send me an email and we can work out the details. Yes, you can reply to this email.
